FIRST Tech Challenge Scrimmage
On Saturday and Sunday, teams will compete the newly announced FIRST Game “Get Over It”. The Winning Alliance will earn their invitation to the New Jersey Championship Tournament.

FANUC Robotics Industrial Automation

Witness the demonstration of high-speed color-sorting by this sophisticated robot using IR vision, color camera and precision movement systems.

Mindstorms Challenge
Mindstorms kit owner? Program the challenge at home, then bring your tri-bot to RoboFest, or borrow one of ours. Can you make it through the maze in record time? Try it!

Information on Robotics Programs & Scholarships

FIRST personnel will explain their continuum of robotics programs and describe the advantages of team participation including the many scholarship opportunities.

Junior FIRST® LEGO® League

Visit our JrFLL teams. This FIRST program captures the inherent curiosity of children (6-9) and directs it toward discovering the wonders of science and technology.

FIRST LEGO League

Our FLL teams (ages 9-16) learn real -world application of science and math concepts. Hear about their research projects and their robotics competition experience.

LEGO Robotics Build & Test Areas

Design, create and build with TECHNIC LEGO! Make mechanical creations that move and check out your creation at the Testing Station!

FTC Driving Zone

RoboFest will include a FIRST Tech Challenge “Driving Zone”. Young robot enthusiasts can motor a Tetrix robot around a tournament field, moving game pieces for the highest score of the day.

I, Robot - Skills Challenge

Would you make an agile robot? Try your “hand” at stacking blocks and other skills through the arms of a robot. Can you stack ‘em? How quickly can you stack ‘em?

FRC Robo-Soccer Skill

At FIRST Robotics Competitions last year, robots kicked soccer balls around a field obstacles and goals. Would you like a turn at our modified RoboFest game? Think you’re pretty good? We’ll see!

Maker Bot Demonstration

Imagine an extremely accurate, programmable glue gun which starts by drawing a picture of the first layer of your object in plastic. It then raises up and draws the next layer. When all the layers are complete, you've manufactured a 3D object. Pretty cool! Check it out!

BAE Systems - Robotics Application

This Defense Contractor will exhibit and explain the use of ground and airborne robotics in the development of its communications equipment for the military.

Bomb Squad Robot

Another Real-Life Application: The Passaic County Sheriff’s Department will bring their bomb squad robot to the Festival and explain its use in saving lives.

NJIT - Robotics Technology Projects

The New Jersey Institute of Technology has agreed to bring and demonstrate a number of interesting projects that were created by their students. This information will be updated as more specifics become available.

DeVry - Robotics Technology Projects

DeVry University conducts a Senior Projects exhibition in mid-October. The “Best of the Best” will be brought to RoboFest 2010 for display and demonstration.

N.J.T.E.A. - Robotics Technology Projects

Members of the New Jersey Technical Educators Association are gathering representative technology exhibits to put on display. This information will be updated as more specifics become available.

LEGO Model Area

Just how creative can one get with LEGO materials? Come and see some of the amazing, futuristic, robotics artwork that the Legomaster has brought to the RoboFest exhibit.

Moonbots – Interactive Exhibition

Have you heard of the worldwide robotics challenge “Moonbots”? New Jersey is proud to be the home of the #1 and #3 finishers, the Landroids and Team Moonwalk! Both will display their excellence at RoboFest.

Robot Demos (by StormingRobots)

Young robotics enthusiasts, the Storming Robots, will demonstrate and compete their small soccer-playing robots and their NXT Balance Bot. Familiar with a Segway? Imagine an extremely small one. That’s what the StormingRobots are exhibiting at their RoboFest booth along with a demonstration of their Remote Control Race Car using Wii technology.

ZeroRobotics MIT / NASA Project

Come to check out the satellite control simulation project. Storming Robots students, the sole team from NJ in the 2010 ZeroRobotics competition, wrote algorithms for the SPHERES satellites to accomplish tasks relevant to future space missions.
